Masters Party 2014

I planned a little Masters themed tablescape for a viewing party and Brandon's birthday, since his gift this year was a trip to the Masters earlier in the week.
This was super easy and only took me about 20 min. to put together.
The longest part was cutting the ribbon and tying the bows for the napkins.
I used a white tablecloth that I already had and made a runner with some green and white fabric from Jo-Ann's. I also got the little yellow cupcake holder's and "grass" filler there as well.
I got the green ribbon I used on the napkins from Hobby Lobby, as well as the straws, toothpick flags, green plates and floral stems.
The cups and golf balls are from our trip to Augusta National, of course.
I already had the plastic silverware (from Party City) and the linen napkins.
Brandon absolutely loved the tablescape and asked if we could leave it set up for a few weeks, to which I obliged.
I made homemade pimiento cheese and egg salad sandwiches to dine on.
Brandon picked out a few shirts and other things at Augusta National, and this was my favorite shirt there.
I also got this super cute tunic.
This is a close up of my tunic.
Some of you asked about my Georgia necklace on IG. I got it at the Apparel Mart in Atlanta during a show last fall.
I sobbed like a baby when Bubba won!
We are so proud of our fellow Dawg, and it was even more special since we followed him as he practiced earlier in the week.

Of course, I'm going to include my recipes for Pimiento Cheese and Egg Salad!
We are planning to recreate those delicious Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches, but we are waiting for our Georgia Peaches to come in during the next month so we can make the ice cream homemade, since that's the way it was at Augusta National.

Southern Pimiento Cheese
16 oz. block of cheddar cheese, grated
(2) 4oz. jars of diced pimientos, drained
1/2 cup Blue Plate or Duke's mayonnaise & 1/2 cup softened cream cheese & 1/4 cup sour cream (or you can omit the cream cheese and sour cream and go all out Blue Plate or Duke's Mayo-just use whichever you have on hand!)
2 or 3 TBS of Tabasco sauce
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste

mix all ingredients together and refrigerate
serve on sandwiches cold or make grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches (one of our favorites)
OR
you can put the mixture in a small buttered casserole dish and bake at 350F for 20-25 min. until melted and bubbly to serve with tortilla chips, toast points, crackers, etc.
You can't go wrong-this is a huge hit at our house when we host get-togethers!

Masters Egg Salad
12 hard boiled eggs, peeled and yolks separated from the whites after boiling-only need 6 of the yolks
about 2/3 cup Blue Plate or Duke's mayonnaise (more or less depending on taste)
1-2 TBS mustard (I use 2 TBS)
1 tsp white vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
white bread

Dice the boiled eggs whites into tiny cubes.
In a bowl, mash the cooked egg yolks.
Add the diced egg whites and the rest of the ingredients.
Stir well and serve on fresh white bread.

  1. What a beautiful table setting for the Masters Party as well as the table setting and décor for Easter. I am so HAPPY Cherish that you are posting again. You are such a beautiful young woman with an amazing heart for God. I am like you and was baptized at the age of eight. I do remember too knowing God's voice and hearing him call me to him as a young child. May God's light continue to shine brightly in and through you my friend! xoxo
