30A Part 1: Where We Stayed

During the second week of September Brandon and I took a vacation to my favorite place in the world, 30A.
30A is a 15 mile stretch of two lane road that runs parallel to Hwy 98 between Panama City Beach and Destin.
The unique thing about this stretch of property is that there are serious building codes and as a result it is much less commercialized.
There are tons of houses and planned communities:
Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, Seagrove, Watersound, Seacrest, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach.
I love each of these communities for their unique design and atmosphere.
We usually stay in Santa Rosa because we do not like crowded beaches and it's not quite as congested as Seaside and Rosemary.

This trip we stayed at Gulf Place, which is a super cool little development with shops, restaurants, and so much more beneath 4 story condominiums.
The development is directly across the street from the beach, with private beach access.
The great thing is that everything you could need for the beach is right there: rentals for chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, kayaks, bicycles, wagons and much more.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo and it was finished out so nicely.
Master Bedroom: king
There were no closets, just built-ins that were very functional.
View from the bed into the living room.
Master Bathroom
Kitchen
Living/Dining Area
Living Room
2nd Bathroom
2nd Bedroom: bunk beds with full on bottom, twin on top
Laundry
So, this was the perfect place for just the two of us!
It had a huge balcony with Gulf views, though we never really used it because we stayed at the beach until the sun went down every day.
We took our own bicycles and just put them in the elevator and stored them on the balcony.
There were also several pools on the property, but we never used them because we stayed at the beach all day everyday.
I absolutely adored this condo and  would happily stay there again!

  2. We love Santa Rosa too! It's close enough to everything to still be convenient, but secluded enough to still feel private and relaxing - a real vacation:) And, funny enough, we have stayed in that exact development (in one of the townhouses along the backside though, not the condos).
