Georgia vs. South Carolina

After last weekend's tough loss to Clemson and our sloppy appearance on the field, we would be lying if we claimed we weren't nervous about the South Carolina game this week.
We feel we have the talent, but the play calling and mistakes were terrible.
We scooted on campus in time to sit and eat a bite after working all morning.
It was great to be back in Sanford Stadium for our first home game of the season.
The crowd was loud and it was humid.
One of the best parts about being from Georgia...is having Luke Bryan on the big screen at Sanford Stadium to get us revved up for the season.
I'm pretty sure my heart jumped out of my chest when his face appeared and he started talking.
Here comes Spurrier and the Gamecocks!
During halftime I got to see two of the four precious kids I kept when we lived in Claxton, Parker and Polly Jane.
I can't tell y'all how good it was to see them, hold them, and love on then even if was just for 5 minutes.
I miss these kids terribly and I love them so much.
They are growing up so fast!
Of course, I love their mama Paula, too! She is fabulous!
Their family owns the Claxton Fruitcake Company, so when you're ordering your holiday fruitcakes-order from them.
They have been in business for over 100 years and their fruitcakes are the very best!
After some back and forth, lots of breath holding and frustration, the Dawgs finally got in gear and beat those Gamecocks!
What a game!
After the prayer huddle the players ran over to the student section and band to celebrate the victory, and what a sweet victory it was!

  2. Oh my goodness - it is such a small world! I kept Polly while her mom went to a Rodan & Fields event in NC. I kept several kids at Tracie Brissons house. I'm sure she'd remember. So crazy! :)
