Braves vs. Nationals & Mary Kay Andrews Book Launch Party

Saturday my cousin invited us to the Braves game. Her boyfriend is currently interning with the Braves in the Athletic Training department, which is pretty cool.
So, he gets complementary tickets to each game, and offered them to us on Saturday.
My cousin, Courtney, and my Aunt Margie and me heading into the game.
We were late because traffic was HORRIBLE! But, we finally made it.
Our seats were amazing, plus they were covered, which worked out good because it came a rain shower during the game.
After 10 or 11 innings, the Braves finally won 2-1!
After the game a crew started wheeling out a small stage for RUN DMC...
Brandon was happy, happy, happy to be there!
Y'all, RUN DMC....it had been a while for them. But, I could not resist staying and watching for a while.
I used to watch Run's House on MTV and I loved that show, so it was neat to see him perform.
 Courtney and Justin--love them!
On Monday I went back to Atlanta for the launch party of Mary Kay Andrews's new book, Ladies' Night!
The launch party was held at Kudzu and Company in Sandy Springs.
I was so neat to get to meet her and she even complimented me on my top and my shoes!
She said if she had the fabric of my top she'd recover everything in her house!
My mother-in-law and her friends also joined me at the party.
My signed copy of her book!
When I pulled into the garage after the party Brandon was there and opened my car door for me.
He really loved my outfit and took my picture.
He kills me.
He loves anything brightly colored, with sequins, but mainly beachy.
He loves Lilly Pulitzer, too.
I can't wait to dive in and read this book!
My all time favorite books of hers are Savannah Breeze and Savannah Blues for obvious reasons.
Y'all go out and get you a copy of Ladies' Night!!

    1. You will love Mary Kay Andrews!! Seriously! Very Southern, but hilarious!! This is her 20th book! She used to write for the Atlanta Journal Constitution years ago before she started writing these fictional novels. They are great summertime reads! xoxo

I'm just completely blown away. I am struggling to find words to adequately express my gratitude to you tonight. Just know that this is one of the sweetest comments I've ever read and I am humbled. 9. Love baseball games....mostly for the hotdogs, snacks, the energy and cheers, and the game;) That's really neat your friend is interning with the Braves! My husband played college ball and loves going to games. Hopefully one day we will get to see the Braves. (He's a Chicago White Sox fan)
And Brandon is right, you looked beautiful in that outfit! I love Bright and cheery colors! I am finally going to break down and buy my 1st Lilly dress this Summer for a wedding in Cabo. They are recommending "Beachy Formal"...don't you think that would be good? So excited!
I am not a big reader but may have to check out this book! Sounds interesting! Thanks again for another great post! xo

    1. Brookley, yes, games are so much fun! Football is my absolute favorite, but I admit I really like the more laid back atmosphere at baseball games-especially during the summer.
Thank you so much, sweet friend! I think Lilly is the absolute way to go for that wedding!! Look on ebay-you can find some great deals on there. I search regularly! :) Also, if you go to a Lilly store they actually have some clearance racks, whereas the website never posts sales.
her books are great summertime reads and are very easy to get into! :)
      Have a fabulous night!! xoxo

  10. Catching up on your last few blog posts! You look great in that top!! Love the colors! Also, wanted to ask, do any of MK Andrews books come as a series? In other words, does it matter in which order you read them? I have heard of her books but haven't read any of them. Where do you recommend I start?

    1. Thank you so much, Nonny!! :) They are not in series, so you can read any of them in any order. My favorites are still Savannah Breeze and Savannah Blues. :) Those are the ones I would start with. Have a blessed day! xoxo
