Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean & Thomas Rhett at Sanford Stadium

I had been waiting for months and months for this concert, and it's already come and gone.
Makes me sad.
This was the very first concert in history at UGA's Sanford Stadium.
Sanford Stadium is such a special and sentimental place to me.
Brandon and I met at a game there in the fall of 2004.
I graduated from UGA on that field in May of 2009.
Every single fall we sit in the same seats and watch the Dawgs play with our family.
So, for me to see my favorite country singer in the world {Luke Bryan} play there was another incredible experience.
This was also part of Brandon's birthday present, so we spent the afternoon tailgating together-just the two of us.
It was special.
The weather was perfect and it was nice to get to tailgate during the Spring.
Dawson Hall, the College of Family & Consumer Sciences-where I spent the majority of my time on campus.
 If only this were real!
The tour buses and tractor trailers.
I love Jake Owen. I've listened to his music for years, even before his songs were becoming popular.
He knows how to wear his jeans!
Y'all, my baseball love was there, too! Chipper Jones and his new floozie.
I don't get him and women, but I still love him to pieces.
He should have waited one more year before he retired-the Braves are awesome this year!
This is my sweet friend, RaeLynda, and her husband. She and I were childhood neighbors and best friends. It was great to get together and have a good time.
 Love.
My mama also got to go.
 A sold out show...66,000+ people.
During football games there are around 93,000 people there.
Luke Bryan. Need I say more?
His voice is incredible, he can dance, he can play the guitar and the piano...and he's from Georgia.
 Love.
 Jason Aldean.
I like his music, but I'm certainly not crazy about him.
 Jason and Luke.
Then Ludacris came out to sing his part of Dirt Road Anthem...everyone went nuts!
I'm not surprised Ludacris came because he lives in Atlanta.
Love my man! We didn't want this night to end.
We were disappointed that all 4 of the guys didn't come out at the end and sing something together.
We were really hoping they would do a rendition of Glory, Glory to Ole Georgia, but they didn't.
Anyway, it was such a blast and one for the books.

  4. My mama and her friends were there, and she somehow found a cut-out of Luke Bryan's head, which she uses as a church fan...and she took it to the concert! Everyone kept asking to take pictures with it! As for me, I'd take the LB lifesize cut-out! :) Sheesh!

    1. Shannon, that is SO funny! Yes, the life-size cut out was definitely one thing I I've ever had the urge to steal, lol! That one would be hard to get away with, though. Have a great day! xoxo

  6. We were parked in the same lot!! AH! I wish I had known we were THAT close! I'm obsessed with Luke too, like sad obsessed. He just pours his heart out and has the BEST time onstage. I was less than impressed with Jason Aldean. If I was singing on a stage doing what I loved and making mega bucks, I could come up with a smile. We ended up leaving early and eating at The Grill before everything got crazy! Are you going to his July concert at Lakewood?

    1. Kerri, that is SO crazy! That is the lot our parking permit for all the UGA games is in the fall, so we always park there. The difference in Luke and Jason as artists and performers is passion. Luke has loads of it, and unfortunately, Jason does not and it's obvious. I told Brandon that he always looks like a bullfrog because he never ever smiles. Is he miserable inside? I don't get it! You can tell Luke doesn't take a second of his fame for granted and that he truly loves not only what he does, but life in general. Attitude makes ALL the difference. The Grill...we have had many meals there, but I just couldn't take the grease that night, lol! Yes, we are planning on going! :) xoxo

    1. I agree, Julia!! Chipper is definitely good looking! I met him when I was 18 and we talked for several hours. He invited me to his hotel room...I knew something wasn't right about that. He will always be my favorite Brave, but he knows how to go through the women! Crazy!
