The Pearl Event: Atlanta

I am overcome with so many emotions as I reflect on the Pearl Event. I give photo credit to Paige from Simple Thoughts for the first three pictures. Thank you, Paige! These were too sweet not to share. So, this seriously happened right after I entered the event. This is Sibi, the author of Pearls and Grace and the woman behind the Pearl Event. She recognized me and she approached me, me?! I was so blown away by her real life beauty. Y'all, this woman radiates. She glows. She is a joyful light in the dark.
She curtsied, she squealed, I squealed, we hugged and I immediately felt like I had known her for a lifetime and that we could have talked for days if time had permitted.
I can't describe what an honor it was to finally meet a woman whom I greatly admire and had been praying to meet for years. Her blog is balm to my soul and she is a kindred spirit.
And Paige. Y'all, Paige is beautiful inside and out and is such a talented photographer. I was so starstruck by the two of them. I was literally jerking, which really doesn't happen to me. I'm not even sure of what I said to them and I sure hope I didn't embarrass myself, but I was seriously starstruck for the first time in my life. I've never really met anyone famous, other than Chipper Jones, and these women might as well be stars in my book. They are real and have incredible testimonies and that trumps any sort of celebrity status to me. I think was got me nervous was the fact that I had driven about an hour to get to the event and, as usual, I was running 8 minutes late. I had to sit in traffic on I-75 and I nearly broke a sweat. I rolled into the church parking lot at 8:58 and still had to apply my lipstick. Good heavens I was all worked up before I even got in the door. Then, immediately meeting sweet Jessica, the dear friend who won my giveaway, and Sibi and Paige, well it was just overwhelming.
Then there was sweet Jessica. She won my blog giveaway (a ticket to the Pearl Event) and finally getting to meet her was such a blessing. She and her darling mother drove all the way from East Tennessee to attend TPE. I felt like we would certainly be great real life friends if lived closer together! She is just wonderful and I'm so thankful that the blog world can be small sometimes and God orchestrates our relationships. It's truly amazing. Jessica and her family are always welcome at our home and will always have a place to stay should they ever pass through.
Listening to Sibi speak is music to the ears with stanzas of both laughter and tears and a chorus of spiritual growth. God has given her a beautiful voice to share her story through His grace and mercy. She is inspiring and encouraging, yet real and deep. She presses the love of God onto hearts without restraint. She speaks truth.
Every single detail of the event was perfection. Pearls, fresh roses, candles and pink adorned our meeting place.
I want so badly to share the pages and pages of notes that I took, but I want you to make an effort to go and hear Sibi for yourself. I know there are some of you who read and who are planning on attending a Pearl Event in the future and I do not want to spoil it for you. Just know that however far you'll have to travel to hear her will be worth every mile.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and mini cinnamon rolls, and our lunches were perfectly wrapped in these ribbon wrapped boxes.
A few more photos of Jessica and her mother. LOVED THEM!!! It was such a pleasure to meet them and get to know them and I hope I get to see them again someday soon.
Thank you, Sibi, for sharing your story and your love, for embracing everyone with compassion, and for being a true light in the dark. I am forever grateful to you.
In the words of Sibi, YOU ARE HIS PEARL.
"Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." Colossians 3:12-14
