Anything adorned in pink is worth celebrating, so here is our Valentine's Day tablescape:
Dark chocolate raspberry is my absolute favorite, so Brandon always gets me the Ghirardelli squares, and of course petits fours are one of my life-long favorite treats, too. I simply tied pink and silver glitter ribbon that I had leftover from Christmas a few years ago around our monogrammed napkins to add a little color and interest.
A dozen bright pink roses to make my heart smile-if anything had been blooming around the house I would have been just as satisfied with some freshly cut flowers from the earth. I'm not hard to please-as long as it's pink.
This is the last we will see of the gold sequined tablecloth for a while. I've enjoyed it immensely during the holidays, but I'm ready for a change. I dressed up our foyer a bit, too. I don't care for over the top decor all over the house, just a few statement items here and there.
As always, I have to have something I can plant to enjoy for years to come, so these pink and white tulips are perfect!
The heart shaped wreath was a $3 Goodwill find several years ago. It was brand new with a Target price tag on it.
-a monogrammed ereader case from Stein Mart $11 -a hot pink bubble necklace from Accessory Concierge $30 -glitter Rampage loafers from TJ Maxx $16 - iPad Otterbox Defender $87 -leather Bible case from Ross $10 -gingham scarf from J. Crew $10 clearance
Beauty Products: nail polish from left to right: Color Club Pink Lust, China Glaze Pink Voltage Neon, OPI Paz-itively Hot, Essie Mod Square, Essie A Cut Above, Essie Pink-A-Boo
-Beauty Rush lipgloss from Victoria's Secret in Strawberry Fizz, Maybelline 24-hr Super Stay lipcolor in Keep it Red and Blush On, Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea hand cream, and Clinique's Happy In Bloom perfume.
Last Thursday night the Kiwanis club had their Valentine's dinner for the members, so here we were all dressed up for that. Brandon looks quite handsome in a suit. I love that no matter what he wears he always looks good to me! His suit is from Jos. A Banks and mine is from New York and Company.
I hope each of you have a very Happy Valentine's Day! Love on your loved ones, and if you're single, go out with your single friends and have a good time either way. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have ever gone to prom with a guy. I would've just gone with some girls or even by myself and had a great time anyway. You don't need a man to make you feel loved-you must first love yourself and be confident. So, put on some pink or red, whatever you prefer, and make the most out of a fun holiday. We are going to be dining at home tonight and tomorrow we have reservations at a delicious local restaurant. xoxo
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God." 1 John 4:7
