"Let the Little Children Come to Me..."

I got this comment from a reader named Lisa who is trying to help a boy get his only wish before he meets Jesus in Heaven, which will be very soon.
Lisa says:
"I was hoping you could help me get the word out about something. I just found out that there is boy who has cystic fibrosis and likely will not make it to see Christmas. Dalton's only wish is that he get Christmas cards- and lots of them! He wants to make it in the Guinness World Records for receiving the most Christmas cards. Dalton is just 11 years old and is very aware that he will be going to heaven. My community has begun sending him cards. Please help us show some love and give him some holiday cheer. Here is Dalton Dingus address: HC 62 Box 1249 Salyersville, KY 41465. Make sure to include your city and state so he can see how far the support is coming from.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas."
Thank you for sharing this with us, Lisa!
Y'all, if you could take some time out of your busy lives to send this young boy a card it would mean the world to him. Feel free to spread the word to others.
May God bless the remaining time he has left on this Earth, as well as his parents who are going to have to bury their child.
In light of recent events, I think we can all sympathize with those who are called home too early.
Even though I've had two miscarriages, I absolutely can not imagine what it would be like to lose a child that I had birthed or adopted, held, nurtured, and mothered.
I firmly believe that as believers we will meet our children, unborn and born, in Heaven someday.
We never know what the day holds, but if we put our hope and trust in the Lord we know where we will spend eternity.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14

  1. Beautiful post Cherish!!

Such a tragedy - that someone could take childrens lives like that - it is a sick world we live in. It is hard to believe in the good of people when things like this happen
