Home for the Holidays

Merry Christmas to all!!
It always feels like home when I cross the Lumpkin County line.
Even though we've moved several times since I left home, I still consider Dahlonega to be "my home."
One of my favorite things to do when we got home for Christmas is to walk around the downtown square around midnight because it is so incredibly peaceful and quiet.
There are little if any people or cars out.
Dahlonega truly is a magical little mountain town at Christmas.
This year just me and my cousin Courtney went to see the lights because everyone else was at my sister's house watching movies.
We hope that you and your families have the merriest of Christmases filled with much love and blessings.
"An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Luke 2:9-14

  6. The first time DH and I went anywhere together (even before an official 1st date) we went to Dahlonega and had ice cream from the Fudge factory! We have spent many fun nights at Caruso's in the years afterwards. So loved seeing the lights, thanks for sharing!!!!
