Ho, Ho, Ho and Christmas Day

These Christmas posts are not in chronological order, as you can tell.
I'm trying to group them by families for the sake of the families that are reading them.
On Saturday afternoon we started making the family Christmas rounds with our first stop being in Covington, Georgia.
This is Brandon's mom's side of the family: the Ingram's.
Every year Santa and his helper visit the Ingram Family Christmas.
These are the 5 living siblings of the 9: Elsie, Nonie, Shirley (Mimi), Tootsie and Bill.
Poor Bill. He has his hands full with these 4 ladies!
They are such a fun group to be around and I love how they live life to the fullest!
This bunch gets out and travels year round with each other.
They take their campers camping and their '55 Chevy Bel Airs (built by Brandon's papa) to car shows.
If it's up to them, they don't miss a thing!
Don't y'all love Mimi's pants and cowboy boots?!
They are pretty amazing!
Russell, their Papa, Brandon, and their Dad.
Elsie and her husband, Bill, getting smoochy with the Clauses.
Sisters again: Nonie, Shirley, Tootsie and Elsie.
Brandon and me.
We were running a little late on Saturday because at the last minute on Friday some of our good friends up in Cumming posted on Facebook about how they needed a puppy ASAP for their little girl for Christmas. Well, after some exchanges, we put them in touch with one of our clients who just happened to have the most precious 8 week old yellow lab puppies.
It also just so happened that we would be heading up their way for Christmas and it would work out for us to get the puppy and drop it off on our way to Dahlonega.
So, after Brandon closed the clinic around noon on Saturday he ran over to the breeder's to pick out the perfect puppy, took her back to the clinic and gave her her shots, dewormer, a bath and an exam before bringing her home.
Needless to say, she was a big hit at our family Christmas gathering that afternoon!
Brandon's Aunt Dawn just absolutely loves puppies and would have been thrilled to take this one home for herself, so I love this picture!
The puppy was so sweet and just nestled and cuddled the entire way to Cumming.
I can't even stand it!
It's like Bayla when she was a baby and I miss her being that small!
Yellow Labs are my all time favorite big dog.
I think our friends were thrilled over their new puppy and Christmas morning at their house was one of the most memorable and magical.
Their girls are 6 1/2 and 2 1/2, so it's the perfect age for them to love a puppy to death!
Fast forward to Christmas Day!
We had our annual Christmas breakfast at Brandon's parents house, which I sadly have no pictures of.
After that we loaded up and went to Mimi's as we always do on Christmas Day.
Mimi had the most beautiful table settings just like she always does.
She makes everything so special and fun.
Isn't that the most beautiful bowl of fresh fruit?! It was delicious!
Mimi made her famous macaroni and cheese.
We also had a standing rib roast again this year and it was divine!
We also had green beans, slaw and deviled eggs.
I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the desserts, but we had German Chocolate cake and homemade Lemon Meringue pies that were out of this world!
Actually, I know why I didn't get a picture of the desserts!
We had a mini-catastrophe during which several dishes fell off of a shelf behind Mimi and shattered all over the floor. Then while Jenna was vacuuming and entire plate rack tried to fall of the wall, too, and when Russell finally decided to cut the pie he hit the pie server with his elbow and it went through the air and onto the floor.
It was quite entertaining!
We always do stockings at Mimi's, which is so much fun, too!
Brandon got a massive camoflauge duffel bag that he had been wanting, and then he proceeded to try and fit his 6'3" 195 lb. body into it.
Russell tried to zip it and made it as far as he could without busting the zipper.
I got some cute little hand towels to match my new Christmas dishes!
Mimi got her portable radio she had been wanting.
My big surprise was a Nook Simple Touch!
I have an iPad, but I wanted something smaller and just specifically for reading books.
Papa got an awesome ring for being the the Marines and serving in the Korean War.
Brandon's parents got luggage for their big trip to France and Italy this Spring!

After eating and opening our stockings we played a game together as a family, which was fun!
I can't remember the name of it at the moment, though.
We had to leave a bit early because there were some rough storms scheduled to move through Georgia that night and Brandon had to work the next day-Wednesdays are his surgery days so they are always intense.
Here is all of my Christmas gifts. The only difference in the two pictures is the way the "Jesus" cake stand is turned.
If you turn it over it's a dip bowl and platter, which is really neat.
While it's a lot of fun, Christmas isn't about the material gifts at all, it's about the gift of our Savior.
Everything else is just an added bonus.

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
