Weekend of Blessings and Love

I had the sweetest little wake-up crew ever on Sunday morning.
A monkey-footed toddler named Sam spent some quality time loving on his Aunt Cherish, and of course, Sanford and Fidget, too. Sam loves animals.
Beautiful blue eyed boy.
Sam trying to get the "kitty cat."
The guys were real gentlemen and made homemade waffles with sausage for everyone.
I put this little crocheted bulldog hat that I've had for a while on Sam.
He really did like it, but he had a little meltdown over something.
I love how he always covers his mouth with his little hand when he cries.
But he got over it quickly and moved on.
I just love this picture of him. Precious.
Blonde baby mullet!
I love this picture of Charlie with his new hat and basketball.
He looks like such a big boy.
He is really picky about his clothes and his latest obsession is Under Armour athletic wear.
We all got ready and took the boys to Bass Pro Shops to the Winter Wonderland event they were having for kids that included pictures with Santa and toy demonstrations.
Sam wasn't too wild about Santa Claus, so his mama had to hold him.
I love it that Baby Ellie is in this picture, too.
Charlie telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.
Phil and Sam.
Uncle Brandon was just as excited about the toys as Charlie was!
Checking out the aquarium in Bass Pro.
After we left bass Pro went went and had a late lunch/early supper at La Parrilla mexican restaurant then we walked around River Crossing in Macon and went to Barnes and Noble.
I love bookstores and could spend hours and excessive amounts of money in them.
The children's books section is always fun!
How fitting that Brandon is reading a children's version of an anatomy book.
I just love this picture!
The boys are being so sweet loving on each other.
We love these sweet boys and can't imagine what life would be like without them.
Charlie posed like this several times during the game, and it just kills me!
His eyes are closed and you can tell he is really feeling it!
We love this family.
They aren't just some of our best friends, they are our family, too.
We may not share the same blood, but we share almost every aspect of our lives with each other.
Most importantly, they share their most treasured gifts with us, their kids.
They trust us with them and they encourage a strong relationship between us.
That is something we may never be able to repay them for.
We are blessed beyond belief to have them in our lives.
This is just one example of how I know that God orchestrates the relationships in our lives.
Back home the boys got right back to playing again.
Sam went in our closet and got a pair of my glitter loafers out to wear.
He loved them!
We made cookies and had ice cream with them.
Charlie is obsessed with the Bass Pro Hunting game for the Wii and didn't want to stop playing it.
He kept laying his hand on Brandon's shoulder and leaning on him-melts my heart.
Meanwhile, this squeaky clean little fella roamed around in front of the fire.
Sunday night Phil and Charlie went back home since Charlie had school the next day, and Meg and Sam stayed with us and we did a little Christmas shopping the next day.
We had a wonderful time and I was so exhausted after the Thanksgiving festivities and lack of sleep that I fell asleep just after 6pm on Monday evening.
Tuesday I was worthless and got nothing physical accomplished, but I did get caught up on emails-I got my inbox from over 330 to 50!
I despise doing tasks like that because I don't like sitting on my rump, but it has to be done.
I came off of my Thanksgiving high by simply feeling overwhelmingly thankful and blessed for family and friends, for Godchildren and my faith, for love and quality time.
God is so good to us and I'm blow away by His generosity, mercy, grace, and love.
