God's Promise

On Sunday evening we went a few miles down the road from our house to a cotton field to take our annual fall pictures.
You may have noticed from my new header!
I'm not going to share our favorite ones just yet, but I thought I would share some really special images from that evening.
It was the strangest thing because we had taken several pictures and it was overcast.
All of the sudden the clouds split as the sun was setting and we had a double rainbow blazing across the sky.
At this point it hadn't rained here in many, many weeks, and usually a rainbow is a result of the sun coming out after a rain.
But, we had no rain no where in our area.
That just proves that God is in control and that He is a true artist.
He never leaves us nor does He forsake us, and even He knows that sometimes His people need to be reminded of that.
I got a little teary-eyed just thinking about how awesome He truly is!
And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life."
Genesis 9:12-15
"Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking."
Ezekiel 1:28
Aren't you thankful we serve a God who keeps His promises?!
I certainly am.
