2012 Southern Living Idea House Interior: Senoia, Georgia

Of course I took a bazillion pictures of the inside of this darling house, too!
As I said in the post on the exterior, they are decorating the house for Christmas, so it was a bit crowded in there with all of the "tourists" walking through hence some of the poor picture quality/lighting/positioning.
When you walk in the front door and turn right this is the room you walk into: the living room.
It's open to the kitchen and dining area.
Stockings hung by the chimney with care...love the basket with firewood and chalkboard with wreath hanging over it.
Much of the furniture is from Ballard Designs.
The kitchen was very much farmhouse traditional with updates and modern conveniences.
I absolutely love the dining area! The colors, furniture and every detail were right up my alley!
I love this vintage Georgia map that is framed in the kitchen.
This is a sitting room behind the kitchen going toward the garage.
The buffalo check gingham wallpaper is an unexpected touch in this room.
The house is filled with lots of cozy little seating areas.
The sitting room opens up onto the back porch.
I love the paint colors, doors, windows, trim and brick floor.
This is a hallway-mudroom type of area going from the sitting room to the laundry room, garage, and bedroom above the garage.
Those cows are in the perfect place!
The laundry room. It was much smaller than I expected it to be, but designed really cute nonetheless.
This is the bedroom above the garage.
It's very masculine, with navy and grays being the prominent colors.
Sliding barn doors
Brandon liked this room.
Interesting bathroom sink placement.
This is back downstairs in the main hallway looking from the front door to the back door.
This door leads onto the back porch.
Sitting nook underneath the main staircase.
Looking down the main hallway from the back door to the front door.
Half bathroom.
This is the master bedroom.
I was a little disappointed in this room as it didn't really feel like a master bedroom.
It lacked romance.
I know the antler thing is "in" right now-I have not jumped on that bandwagon-but, I really don't feel like over the master bed is the place for antlers...that doesn't evoke a sense of intimacy to me.
I did love the marble countertops in the master bath and the color scheme.
It felt much more romantic than the bedroom.
This is a sitting/reading area at the top of the main stairway.
I love this magnolia garland!
At the other end of the top of the staircase is another sitting area and of course, a Christmas tree!
This is the more feminine of the two upstairs bedrooms.
The tan buffalo check gingham was used on the pillows and curtains.
I love this Georgia print in the second upstairs bedroom.
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the 2012 Southern Living Idea House in Senoia, Georgia!
