2012 Southern Living Idea House Exterior: Senoia, Georgia

Last Sunday afternoon we went to check out the 2012 Southern Living Idea House, in Senoia, Georgia, which is only 42 miles Northwest of our house.
We have been dying to get up there, but with our hectic life it's been difficult.
The weather was gorgeous and the skies were blue and clear.
It was the first day that it actually felt like fall.
In case you aren't familiar, Southern Living took a c.1830 farmhouse, moved it, renovated it and built onto it and turned it into this beauty.
The house is open until December 23rd for tours. The house is open for tours: Wed.-Sat. from 11A-5P and Sun. from 1P-5P.
Tickets are $12 a person.
Every single detail was perfectly thought out.
I drooled over the exterior of the house, especially.
The light fixtures, shutters, outdoor furniture, plants, landscaping-everything was perfect.
I love the mix of the old with the new.
I am obsessed with this side porch.
Can you tell I felt right at home? The house has that effect on you.
Love, love, love this!
The Southern Living designers were there decorating the house for Christmas!
This is the back porch.
I love how the back porch door makes just as much of a statement as the front door.
The screens on the porch were power/remote operated. You can have the screens up or down.
I love the curtains and the color of the fabric on the furniture.
This door goes into the garage.
Some of the backyard landscaping.
I fell in love with this area-the fire pit was quaint and the Adirondack chairs made the setting complete.
Love the washtub plant stand and lantern!
A view of the back porch from the yard.
View of the back of the garage.
The entire view of the back of the house.
I love this garage!
Beautiful, beautiful exterior!

There are so many pictures that I have to do this in two posts, so the interior of the house will be posted tomorrow!
Many of you have asked about my boots-they are from Rack Room of all places. I got them last year.
