Busy as Always!

I can't believe how I've let time slip away from me once again since my last post.
In my defense, we have been incredibly busy with our new house, practice and just plain ole life!
Summer months are the busiest for veterinary practices, and thank the good Lord, we have been slammed!!
But, we have been trying to juggle making our house a home and making our practice our own despite the craziness of it all.
Here are a few pictures to show y'all what we've been working on...I can't wait to show you the finished ones:
 Our yard is coming along.
 Hydrangeas I grew.
The painting has been relentless...
When I get a chance I sneak off to the pool :)
 Our garden has been growing.
 Our flowers are blooming.
 The painting continues...
We have also been putting up crown molding, chair rails, and judges paneling with shadow boxes the past few weeks.
We had beadboard installed underneath the bar in our kitchen.
That's my Papa working. God Bless that man. His talent for carpentry work is a true gift and he uses it well. He was a custom home builder for years, and now at the age of 71, he does small jobs for people.
He is the ultimate perfectionist and completes every task as if it were for himself.
I also want to ask for prayers for him as he is going to be having surgery next Wednesday.
He has a hiatal hernia and has been in a great deal of pain.
So, you see, I do have an excuse!! Our house has been a construction zone for several months.
ALSO, I have some oil rubbed bronze fixtures  and some glass globes that we have changed out and I'm going to be selling them. Would any of you be interested in them before I list them on ebay?
They are in mint condition. If so, I will be happy to do a post on here with pictures!
I am planning on catching up on our posts from the summer including our beach trip, 4th of July, and our trip to San Diego, so stay tuned!
PS-We got our season tickets in the mail a few weeks ago!
I can't believe football season will be here at the end of the month-exciting!

  20. Cherish,

Your post brought back many memories from my childhood. Your Papa built the house I grew up in on Hwy 141 in Cumming. He would come over and do odd jobs for my Mom during the summer, and he was always so so sweet to me! I can still see him hanging on a ladder on the side of our house. :) We recently moved up to Coal Mountain and built a new home. My mom says on a regular basis, "This house just isn't built like the one Robert built!" Just thought I would share! Please let your Papa know that the Fagans on 141 think the world of him! :)
