Gulf Coast Vacation #1

I was fortunate enough to get to spend a week beachside in one of my favorite places in the world with a few of my favorite little people in the world.
*Warning-this post is iPhone picture overload!*
Crossing the bridge over the bay heading into Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
 I love this place.
I kept Lilly and Landon for 4 years when we lived in Athens.
Since then I've gone to the beach with them a few times and kept them for extended stays when I get a chance.
Each time I see them they've grown so much and learned so many new things that it's always fun to get to spend time with them.
We played in the pool, the ocean, the sand and built many sandcastles.
We always vacationed here while I was growing up and so the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters feel like home to me, which is one reason we had our wedding on the beach here almost 6 years ago.
We watched the coolest storm come in one evening.
I love a good string thunderstorm so I hung out on the balcony to watch this one in its entirety.
 Pretty sunset after the storm.
One night the kids and I enjoyed froyo and a fireworks show.
Our view in Seagrove-Rosemary.
While eating at the Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach we had a celebrity spotting-Melissa Etheridge (in the coral shirt). Pretty neat.
 Our seafood pizza was delicious!
Rosemary is such a beautiful and unique place.

After we ate supper at the Cowgirl Kitchen we had dessert at Sugga Pies.
Talk about a dream world-Alys Beach is a world of its own.
Charlie's Donut Truck is open first thing in the mornings for those who want a sweet breakfast.
It was Landon's 4th Birthday, so we decided to do something fun and different to celebrate.
30A, you are the place to be!!
A very cool Mastiff! Does anyone see the resemblance between this dog and our Pug, Sanford? Pugs have Mastiff in them-they are like a mini version!
After breakfast we went to Seaside to a few toy stores to let Landon pick out his birthday presents.

It was Saturday morning and the Farmer's Market was in full swing.
 Cutest little post office.
 BBQ nachos
Singing Happy Birthday to Landon while he blows out his candles.
My sweet husband back home knows just how hard it is for me to leave the beach and how I'd love to live there someday, so I arrived home to freshly prepared homemade crab cakes, homemade garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.
I love him to pieces.
What a wonderful week on the Gulf making wonderful memories!!
