Easter 2012

This was our first Easter at our new home, and glory be to God, we have already found a church that we love.
To me, one of the most difficult parts about relocating is finding a new church home.
We tried a few, and after deciding to make the 25 min. drive to this church we've heard so many great things about, we were so glad we did.
Fortunately for us, they had several Easter services, including one on Saturday evening, which worked out perfect for us so that we could go and celebrate with our families on Sunday.
Brandon in his blue seersucker before church.
Me in my coral linen, can't you tell from the wrinkles?
I do love linen, but heavens to Betsy, wrinkles just tear my nerves up!
We had a wonderful church service Saturday evening and afterwards we had dinner at Bonefish Grill, which was so good. Except, I don't have any pictures because as luck would have it, I got very sick with a migraine just as we sat down at the table.
I've always had problems with migraines-severe, as in very nauseated (sometimes vomiting), can't stand noise or light, and will beg for Brandon to take me to an emergency room (which will do nothing except run up a large bill) or to shoot me and put me out of my misery.
I was doing some research recently, and read that taking a magnesium supplement helps as well, as, wait for it....Botox?!
Well, I don't think I'll be getting botox any time soon, but the magnesium I have been adding to my daily vitamin assortment.
Believe it or not, I really think it's helping!
Since taking the magnesium I haven't had a migraine in a month!
Hopefully, it will continue to help.
Does anyone else have any insight on this?
Sorry about my rabbit trail, this is supposed to be about Easter!
Sunday morning we drove up to Cumming to see our families.
Our first stop was at the Pinson's. Aren't their flowers gorgeous?
After we left the Pinson's we had Easter dinner with my family at my Aunt and Uncle's house.
Their yard is so pretty.
I didn't take any pictures with my real camera for some reason. I was really bad about taking pictures this year. I regret it already.
My beautiful sister and me.
My handsome hubby and me in our pink seersucker. Not sure what is going on with his shirt-it's clearly coming untucked and he is oblivious as usual.
After that we went to the Brown's to have another Easter dinner with them.
I was really bad and didn't take any pictures. Everyone was tired and stuffed at that point.
I hope you had a very Happy Easter with the ones you love, most importantly, remembering the ultimate sacrifice that God made on our behalves: His Only Son.
Every time I think about that I am forced to be still and I am overwhelmed with gratitude, humility and admiration.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

  1. I love your linen dress! I wore a linen tunic for our engagement photo shoot recently- huge mistake, wrinkles everywhere! About your migraines, I get them a lot, too. I've went to neurologists and everything, with no relief or explanation. They did give me a "migraine diet" list of foods to avoid. I need to try to follow it better, and maybe try the magnesium. The doctor told me to keep a food diary to maybe see if a particular food triggers it (onions, dairy, preservatives, etc.), have you tried that? Sorry I wrote a book, haha, have a wonderful day!

  2. I love that wreath in the background! Did you make that? Too cute!

I sure do love hearing from y'all-you make my day!
