For my birthday dinner we ate at the Olde Pink House in Savannah.
Since pink, in any shade, is my absolute favorite color it seemed only fitting that we would eat at the Olde Pink House for my birthday.
The restaurant is beautifully situated beneath live oaks off of Reynolds Square next to the Planter's Inn.
Each room in the house is decorated in a unique representation of it's original time period.
We were seated on the second floor right beside the veranda, which was perfect because it was warm enough to keep the doors open.
We started off with two appetizers: Sautéed Local Shrimp w/Country Ham Gravy & Cheddar Cheese Grits Cake (above) and the Pan Seared Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Fried Green Tomatoes, Remoulade Sauce. They were both out of this world!
For the main courses we had Jumbo Sea Scallops with Collard Greens and Macaroni and Cheese and Crab Stuffed Grouper, White Wine Lemon Sauce, Macaroni and Cheese and Mixed Beans.
We had their signature dessert, which was a Praline bowl with homemade ice cream, fresh mixed berries and chocolate sauce. Yum!
My handsome date who planned the special evening!
After dinner we just enjoyed walking around Savannah, which is a beautiful city during the day, but some of the buildings just come alive at night.
I hope if you ever come to Savannah to visit you'll put the Olde Pink House on your list of places to eat!
