Blue Willow Inn

After the Georgia game on Saturday my Mama came to Athens to spend the night with us so that we could spend some time together.
We went to our "home church," Watkinsville First Baptist and heard a fantastic sermon.
Anytime we stay in Athens we always go back to our home church and it is so refreshing.
Nothing against any of the churches where we live, but it's just not the same.
It's not home and it always feels like something is missing.
With two home games in a row, we got a little spoiled getting to go to our church two weekends in a row.
I wish there was a way we could be there every Sunday...
After church we drove down to Social Circle, GA and met my sister and brother-in-law to eat a late lunch at the Blue Willow Inn.
My Mama wanted to take us there to celebrate our Thanksgiving since Brandon is on call during Thanksgiving and we won't be able to go home.
We had a wonderful afternoon together and the food was delicious as always.
They have wonderful fried chicken and fried green tomatoes-everything is delicious!
I love my mama and my sister!
I just realized I don't have any pictures with my brother-in-law. I know I took some, but I guess I was using my sister's camera when I took them.
You eat off of Blue Willow dishes, of course, and you get to choose between sweet tea and lemonade to drink.
Their chicken n' dumplings are yummy, too!
Here are some views of the food buffets. Above is the salad bar.
Some buffets can be gross, but this is anything but that-it's quite classy, in fact.
Below is the dessert bar.
Some of the options are pecan pie, peach cobbler, buttermilk pie, lemon meringue pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, chocolate cake, trifles and the list goes on!
Look at the chaffing dishes!
I love all the chandeliers they have hanging in the house!
Of course they have already decorated for Christmas!
You need to call ahead and make reservations if you ever want to go and eat there-it's always packed!
PS-look who got to see one another and sit in the truck together while we ate :)
Molly and Sanford=favorite cousins!!
"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing."
