Beginning of the 4th

We started out the holiday weekend with some redneck fun at a Cornhole tournament. We've always played Cornhole at our tailgate, but I never realized there are tournaments and that they are such a big deal. Granted, the crowd was pretty rough and I don't know if I'll be going to another one any time soon, but it was quite an experience!
Of course it came a downpour as we were pulling in. Luckily it stopped, but it made for a muddy night! Brandon played with his friend, Bobby.
Bobby and Melony's son, Allen, playing with one of his best friends from daycare, Anna Kate. Aren't they cute together?!
 Taking a break between games.

Melony, Allen, me, and Sanford on the tailgate watching our boys play Cornhole.
Allen was so sweet and wanted to pick flowers for Anna Kate.
 Quite a crowd!

More 4th posts to come!

***Also, please update your Google Readers/Re-follow to get Southern Soul Mates to show up on your Google Readers if it's not already since I changed my URL. I had to manually change my own settings, which is really frustrating-what a downfall on Google's part!**

  1. So fun! I had no idea there was such a thing as cornhole tournaments! I really wish the cornhole trend would catch on at Ole Miss, it's one of the thing I like most about tailgating at other schools!

  2. I can only imagine the crowd at a cornhole tournament! I love the game though

  3. I had no idea there was such a thing (tournaments)! That's kind of cool...to be honest, I had no idea what corn hole was until we moved to CA.

P.S. I'm super behind on blogging so you're probably going to get a million and one comments from me. I apologize in advance :)
