Swamp People

Are any of you as obsessed with that show as we are? We are hooked on it, I tell ya! Last Monday evening I was enjoying some peace and quiet with all of the doors open because it was unusually cool here, as in cool enough for me to be covered up with a blanket. That is simply unheard of here in mid-May in South Georgia. I was enjoying the silence when I heard Brandon yelling for me repeatedly off in the distance, which is unusual. I went outside and didn't see him, so I began to call back. He was out in the canoe on our pond bass fishing and as he pulled the canoe ashore he said, "Look what I found!"Now, we saw two small alligators in our pond last summer, but we just figured they went somewhere else for the winter. I've been looking for them all spring and haven't seen any sign of them until Brandon found this one. Some of his limbs had be pulled off and he was long gone and super stinky. We are wondering if a larger alligator has taken up residence and killed this smaller one and if not, then what in the world could have done this sort of damage to an alligator. I surely hope there isn't a bigger one out there or we may have to do something with him as we have too many dogs and cats running around here. It's always something around here! Anyone want to come and visit?

Is it weird that seeing anything dead makes me feel sad? Even a dead alligator? Haha. I'm a loser.
