Farm Life Friday

This week we've been doing some sprucing up and planting around the house since it has cooled off some. By that I mean it has been in the upper 70s - low 80s as opposed to the 90s. Rachael and I went to the big plant nursery just a few miles down the road from us and bought some beautiful flowers. Cats are so curious and nosy, yet it doesn't really bother me; however, nosy people who want to know my business really get under my skin! Funny how that works. Rachael and I (sans makeup) potting our lavender and lemon verbena, which smell absolutely divine! Our magnolia trees are blooming and I feel like I have died and gone to heaven!Do you wonder what my husband and son are doing?Picking these delicious blackberries. I can't believe we already have them at the beginning of May! Our Pug loves fruit, too, so he was trying to eat them off the vines, but the poor thing kept getting pricked by the thorns. I made a blackberry cobbler and topped it with black cherry sorbet. It was heavenly!Okay, so these giant plastic pots were stuck together (they are used to hold minerals for cows, but we are re-purposing them to plant tomatoes and bell peppers in), so we had to work together to pull them apart. At this point we were laughing because we were getting nowhere. Brandon finally pulled them apart on his own. Sorry Babe!He drove them across the pasture along with the manure to mix with the soil to the location where they would get the proper amount of sun, shade, and water. And then we worked on planting them! What excitement! I love working outside and making things look better, don't you? I hope y'all have a fabulous weekend and a Happy Mother's Day! xoxo "When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?" Isaiah 28:24

As far as nosy, it gets under my skin too unless it is a friend who is checkin up on me etc but if it is complete stranger or someone who has no business asking then yes it does for me too! I guess it just depends on who it is lol. Okay this got lengthy than intended sorry !! :(
