A Blue Breeze

Do you have a place you can go to get refreshed at your home? I cannot stress the importance of having your own little space to go and get recharged and revived. For me, combining the elements of nature with decorative details sets a perfect stage for renewal. I do my devotions, pray, reflect, blog, and just about anything else I can manage to do out there. One of the things I love about where we live is the back dining section of our wrap-around porch. It overlooks the pond, is out of direct sunlight, and always seems have a breeze even if it's just a slight one. My daughter, Lady Vol, decided to grace me with her presence by jumping up on the rail for this one.Don't you just love the elegant simplicity of hydrangeas in a Mason jar? It's all in the details. It's perfect for dining al fresco with a glass of sweet tea.Of course, my husband enjoys our Pawley's Island hammock as one of his resting places. Love this one of my boys.I encourage each of you to find a place to unwind. A healthy place. A happy place. "...he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit..." Titus 3:5

Where did you get the hammock? I bought Phillip one last year and we sat in it once and it broke :( and you know we aren't big people! ha!

  3. Very jealous of your beautiful spot that you can use for yourself. Sadly Hubby and I live in a small one bedroom condo, so I don't have room for me to have my own space. But the way I can relax and feel better is when I start to craft. Scrapbooking for me is away for me to clear my mind and relieve stress!

  8. You have the porch I dream about when I finally become a home owner!
    Lovely. Just lovely.
My place to unwind now is in my room by the window. I can read and write and still feel the breeze and hear the birds outside.
    Again, lovely!
