Weekend Filled with Friends and Sunshine

We had a busy and fabulous weekend with wonderful friends. We left just after lunch on Friday to drive over to Columbus, Georgia to spend the weekend with some of our best friends, Phil and Meg, and their boys (our Godsons), Charlie and Sam. We met for dinner Friday night and got to catch up over pizza. Can I just say how adorable baby Sam is?! I could just eat him up-he is precious! Saturday morning we got up early and went to watch Charlie's very first soccer game ever! This was the only picture I got of Meg all weekend :(He did so good and we were so proud of him and impressed by his ball handling skills. He is the youngest one on his team.Unfortunately, Meg got hit with the stomach virus during the game and was out of commission for most of the weekend, which was really bad because the four of us were supposed to go to a wedding together that afternoon. Meg had to stay home, so Phil, Brandon and I drove up to Newnan, GA for the wedding of their vet school classmate, Kristin. We wish The Reverend and Dr. Carter Robinson a lifetime of happiness! P.S.-they are both strong Christians and met on eHarmony, which is pretty neat! The wedding was a quaint and charming outdoor wedding and we so enjoyed getting to catch up with our closest friends from vet school. Dr. Matthew and Breanna, Rebekah and Dr. Andrew, Dr. Brandon and meMe and my love, and me and Dr. RachaelAfter the wedding we headed back to Ellerslie and Meg's mom made a wonderful Columbus dish called "Country Captain," which was so delicious! On Sunday, since Meg had the stomach virus and we couldn't go to church, Brandon and Phil took Charlie and they played golf and went to lunch while Meg and I stayed back at the house and just visited and had our "girl time," and of course, I played with baby Sam.See that jealous Pug? Charlie riding on the tractor with his Grandaddy When the boys got back we let Charlie open his birthday/Easter bucket, and of course we got and Easter bucket for Sam, too. Charlie will be 4 on April 9th, so we decided to go ahead and give him his b-day gift, too. We have to spoil those sweet boys while we can!We made the 3+ hour drive back late Sunday night and got in around 1AM. We love our friends so much and hate the distance in between. We are so thankful for the wonderful weekend spent in fellowship. We can't wait to see everyone again! I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend, too! xoxo
