Home for Easter

At the very last minute we got to go home to see my family for my Papa's 70th Birthday and Easter. Brandon was originally scheduled to be on call this weekend, but another vet needed to switch last minute, which worked out well for us since we never get to go home and visit my family. The men watching the grill. My very unhealthy plate. Yes, I ate it all. It's okay to splurge every now and then.Happy 70th Birthday to my Papa!! We love you!!Homemade Buttermilk PieLogan at the dessert table fixing his plate. The GrandgirlsLove him.The whole familyWe went to Dahlonega and spent the night at my sister's house Saturday night and on Sunday morning we got up really early and went to Sunrise Service at my home church, Nimblewill Baptist. The message was wonderful. We went back to the 11AM service, too, and I was so emotional through the service for so many reasons. I'll just say that it was so good to be back in my home church and I really miss it, and with everything going on with us right now, it just got to me. My sister did a little photo shoot with our Pugs and the pictures were so cute! Sanford was not too excited about his bunny costume, but it was hilarious to see. Molly and Sanford. Cousins and best friends. And maybe boyfriend and girlfriend...Beautiful Native AzaleasOur little family on Easter :)The 4 of us. I wish we lived closer. I miss my sister. Our Easter baskets from Mama: She got each of us a Hibiscus and a book guide to Perennials. We spent Sunday afternoon with my sister and broth-in-law and our Mama. It was so nice to be able to visit with them. Brandon got to go fly fishing down the road while us girls cooked dinner. When he got back the guys grilled out salmon and chicken to go with the sides we made. The last photo before making the 4 1/2 hour drive South. I love this face. I hope y'all had a very blessed Easter weekend spent with loved ones recognizing the sacrifices of our Risen Savior. xoxo
