Farm Life Friday & Prayer Request

We've had a wonderful week here, though nothing major has taken place. Just our life. I spend my days doing household chores, planning meals, and walking around the farm with a camera around my neck admiring all the beauty of nature and thanking God for these moments. Of course, I do other things, too, but this is what I spend the majority of my time doing. It sounds so boring and simple to some folks, I'm sure, but to me simple is anything but boring. Most days you won't find me wearing make-up or cute outfits or styling my hair, but that's the beauty of it. Out here I don't need to. Now don't get me wrong, I certainly enjoy the opportunity to get dressed up and wear make-up, but it makes it more enjoyable for me not to have to do it every single day. Anyway, back to our week. We had terrible storms come through late Monday night. Poor Sweety was scared to death and none of us got much sleep. I stayed up and waited on the storms to pass just in case we had a tornado warning. Brandon had a midnight emergency call on Tuesday night to euthanize a horse that was down and beyond repair. So it was 2:30 by the time he got home. I stayed home because Brandon had built a fire since the low was 40 degrees that night and we didn't want to leave it unattended, so there are no pictures. But I did wait up for him. Oh, and I made homemade chili since it was cold outside. Needless to say he spent some time napping in the hammock after work on Wednesday.I did go to work with Brandon on Thursday and things were rather slow. This is him neutering a dog.Our roses are blooming and the color is striking.Workers gathering this year's crop of carrots. Yes, they arrive in a school bus though they are adults. My sweet girls on the other side of our gate. And a little Pug hiney on this side :)Why is photographing horses so much fun? I think it's because they look good no matter what. The woodpeckers have annihilated this dead tree...we need to do something about it before it falls on the driveway.Sweety in the pastureI am still enjoying the beautiful azaleas! I don't think I've ever done this, but I want to ask for unspoken prayer requests. We have had some things come up over the past week or so and we are praying for the Lord's guidance and that He will show us what the best thing to do is over the next week. Depending on the outcome I may or may not be able to share with y'all, but we would just really appreciate your prayers for peace and guidance. I am usually detailed about prayer requests and I wish I could be more specific, but I simply can't. Thank you all in advance and I hope y'all have a delightful weekend. xoxo

  8. I think your life sounds pretty amazing! I used to live in a very small town with a mostly country setting, I now live in a city and while I love having things so close, I miss the simplicity.
