Donkey Emergency Call

Tuesday night started off with an emergency call for a sick donkey. We initially thought it might be colic, but after passing mineral spirits and no behavior improvements we decided to run some blood work. It was acting as though it was toxic, so we gave it some fluids and bantamine.Trying to pass a tube.Just a little eye candy :) I couldn't help myself. I think I'll get a wallet size of this one. Or maybe a 20 x 30. I'm extremely attracted to my husband. Dr. Brandon decided to keep the donkey overnight and check it's blood cell count first thing this morning to see if it needs a blood transfusion. Fortunately it seemed to be doing a little better and didn't need to have the transfusion after all. Dr. Brandon still really believes it got into some sort of plant toxin, so he gave it some medicine to bind everything in the stomach. If all goes well it will get to go home this afternoon! A trio of patients hanging out in their runs. I thought it was funny that there were only farm animals in the runs and no dogs. That's unusual! Thank"The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys." Job 42:12
