Saturday in Savannah

Friday afternoon my Mama, Papa, and cousin Logan came down to visit us for the weekend. We have been anticipating this past week/weekend and getting to spend time with a few of our family members! Friday night we took them out to Krispy Brown's, a local seafood buffet, for supper. We all enjoyed the catfish!Saturday Morning we got up and headed into Savannah. Our first stop was Forsyth Park, which is absolutely beautiful. The camellias, tulip trees, and cherry trees were covered in pink. I just adore my Papa. I don't know what I will do when something ever happens to him. Me and Paula just hangin out :)Brandon's mom was still in town and actually stood in line for almost 2 hours at the Lady & Sons to reserve our table. We are so thankful to her for doing that and were so happy she could join us for lunch!Mama told our waiter that it was my Birthday (yes-it was actually a month ago, but she wasn't able to be with me to celebrate then, so better late than never, right?), so they put a candle in my dessert.Logan had saved his money to buy Pralines at the Savannah Candy Kitchen on River Street. Looking out over the Savannah RiverIn the Cathedral of St. John the BaptistWe got to the Tybee Island lighthouse at 5:00PM and the lady at the desk refused to sell any tickets to climb the lighthouse after 4:40 even though they closed at 5:30. Make sense to you? Okay good, me neither. So, these friendly tourists who were leaving offered to give us their wrist bands to climb it. So, Brandon and Logan graciously accepted and prepared to make their way to the top in record time.Off they go!I think they made it to the top in about 60 seconds-no exaggeration!Exhilarated after their speedy descent down the lighthouse stairs! I believe they were gone less than 5 minutes. Brandon's legs are still sore. We had a wonderful day and covered so much ground. We hope everyone enjoyed their tour of Savannah! 3. That looks like it was so much fun! I don't blame you for 'not getting' the we close at 530 so we stop selling tickets at 440 ! We tried to go use the go karts at the beach and they said they were 'closed at dark' and it definitely was dark yet or anywhere near it! I'm jealous you got to eat at Lady & Sons, it's on my bucket list!
