Weekend Recap

Hey Loves! I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend! {PS-is it just me or is anyone else having problems with fonts loading from webs.com??!! My page just will not load and it's driving me nuts!} Our friends Andrew and Rebekah came to visit on their way to a veterinary conference in Orlando. The got in late Wednesday night and left Friday morning. We so enjoyed our visit with them! Andrew went to work with Brandon on Thursday morning, then we spent some of the afternoon in downtown Savannah.First stop was the infamous River Street, of course, where the Verdin's got to get some candy at River Street Sweets. We went to Parker's Market, which is a really neat place in downtown Savannah. You can get fuel, gifts, delicious fresh food, staples, and a zillion other neat things in there. Chocolate station candy bar delicious fresh food...and desserts, too Sunset on the cathedralAfter we got back from Savannah, we took some gumbo over to the Lewises for supper and fellowship. We had a wonderful time as always! We hope Andrew and Rebekah had a great time and we can't wait to see them again!Feeding the horses is always fun...I guess Brandon needed a bite, too ;)This one looks funny from the angle of the camera :)I know y'all are incredible prayer warriors, so I want to ask you to keep my best friend, Meg, in your prayers this week. She is an amazing friend, wife, Christian, and the mother of our precious Godson, Charlie. She is expecting baby #2, Samuel Fuller Carey, on Thursday. This baby is a true testament to prayer and patience as Meg was advised to use fertility treatments after having 2 miscarriages and many many months of trying, and praise be to God, this baby is finally going to be here. Over the weekend she had some complications and had to be hospitalized. They released her after some bacterial cultures came back negative this morning (PRAISE GOD!) and she will go back on Thursday for a scheduled c-section. I am going to drive over and be with her and help them out for a while after the baby comes. I can't wait to see them and to meet baby Sam. Please pray for health for mama and baby and for a complication-free delivery! Thank you all in advance, and I know Phil and Meg thank you, too. This wonderful photographer took these of my beautiful friend. "I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” 1 Samuel 1:27-28
