Weekend with Our Best Friends and Godson

On Friday night we made the 3 1/2 hour drive to Ellerslie, GA, just north of Columbus, to stay with some of our best friends and Godson for the weekend. Early Saturday morning Brandon's parents met us at their house and picked us up before we went to the Auburn game. After the game we drove back to Ellerslie and stayed with our friends. On Sunday we had an awesome day just spending time together. It was so great to see our friends and our Godson, Charlie. We love and miss them so much and it has been extremely difficult living so far from them over the past 6 months. Meg's mom was so thoughtful and made us breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning, which was very delicious. For lunch we drove up to Warm Springs and had a wonderful lunch at the Bulloch House then we walked around the downtown. On the way back to their house we drove across Pine Mountain and the leaves were just gorgeous! It was by far the prettiest color we've seen so far this year. Pictures don't do it justice-you had to be there.{My bestie Meg and baby Sam and me}We spent the evening visiting, talking, laughing, and catching up. It is always so hard to leave them. I am so looking forward to baby Sam coming in January so I can go and stay with them and help Meg adjust to life as a mother of 2. What a blessing! Here we are with Charlie before we left. We love him so much and we are so thankful to Phil and Meg for trusting us enough to choose us as Charlie's Godparents. We pray everyday for each of them and we are delighted to love and support Charlie and Sam unconditionally all of their lives. We can't wait to see them again. We cherish the time we do get to spend together! Sad we didn't get a picture of all of us together :(-next time! "But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16
