Beaufort, SC Shrimp Festival

On Saturday after Brandon got off work we decided to drive up to Beaufort, South Carolina for the day since it's less than an hour and a half from us and it is such a beautiful southern waterfront town, which you all know we love. There was hardly any parking when we got there-little did we know the Shrimp Festival was going on. We clearly didn't do our research before going, which was sort of ironic in a way because on the way there we were talking about how we don't really get to go to fall festivals because we are always going to football games instead. So, this was a pleasant surprise! We had a blast and can't wait to get back to Beaufort! There are a ton of pictures, so I'll quit gabbing now :) I always pay tribute to our soldiers who fought in the War Between the States (Civil War) I think I'm going to move here...because the view from all of these house is pictured below Don't even get me started on my obsession with live oaks draped in Spanish moss...I could write a book of poetry on it. Seriously. It is my dream to live under these gorgeous things! Some of the downtown The UGA Marine Extension Service boat Yummy fried shrimpWe climbed to the top of this... and these were our views! Breathtaking sunset On Sunday we went down the Georgia Coast and ended up at Fernandina/Amelia Island...post on that tomorrow. For now, just absorb all of this splendor and deliciousness that Beaufort has given us! "Your domain was on the high seas; your builders brought your beauty to perfection." Ezekiel 27:4

  1. Oh, I love love love the pictures!

I'm obsessed with live oaks with moss, too! When I fell asleep in the car on the way to South Carolina, Jay would wake me up whenever we'd pass one :)
