My Papa's Surgery

My Papa had to have major surgery on his small intestine last Tuesday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. It worked out great for me because the convention was over Monday afternoon, so I just stayed with our close friends, Britt & Andrea, at their condo in Atlanta so I could be at the hospital bright and early on Tuesday morning. I want to thank Britt and Andrea fore being so hospitable and allowing me to crash on their sofa for almost a week! I spent every day at the hospital with my family and I am so grateful for that special time we shared. My love language is quality time, so this was truly important to me. I am so thankful that I was in the position to be able to devote myself 100% with no other distractions or commitments. At least he had a wonderful view of the city out his window. I thought we could all use the encouraging scripture. My sweet Papa. He is truly a man whom deserves much honor. With 2 of my cousins, Courtney and Logan. After over 4 days without food or liquids, they finally let him eat. He was not impressed with the hospital food. He wanted homemade cornbread and buttermilk. I just love this picture of his precious feet. He's just so cute. Gorgeous sunsets out of his window. Papa watching the sunset and a helicopter land on the roof right out side his window. Here comes the helicopter. We would truly appreciate your prayers as he continues to heal. He is in a great deal of pain and still has his catheter in. The hardest thing will be trying to keep him still. He is a custom home builder and is constantly working on projects. Thank you all in advance!
