Uncle Bubba's

If you are in the Savannah/Tybee Island area you should definitely go and eat at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House on Wilmington Island! Paula Deen's brother did not disappoint! The food was so fresh and delicious both times we were there and the portions were very generous.Fried PicklesCalamariShore is Good Seafood DipBBQ Sandwich-since we smoke our own BBQ regularly we don't usually order it out, but I have to say this was delicious!Crab Stuffed Flounder with Savannah Red Rice and Cheese GritsGrilled Swahi and Scallops with Red Rice and Cheese GritsGrilled Oysters and ShrimpFried Shrimp and SwahiChocolate Creme BruleeStrawberry Shortcake (really Grandma Paul's pound cake)Homemade Key Lime Pie with an almond and graham cracker crustIt tends to get crowded as it's by far the best restaurant near Tybee, so plan accordingly!

  1. Isn't it great living close enough to the coast to do these things in a day trip? I hope you are feeling settle and I would love to meet you sometime when I come to Statesboro to see my sweet daughter.

  7. I fell in love with Savannah when visiting there a few years ago. The azaleas were all in bloom and I found it to be the prettiest place ever. We did stop out to Tybee but never ate at Uncle Bubba's because we had eaten at Mrs. Wilke's for lunch that day and were stuffed! I'm a new follower!
