Day #8 Cleaning & Granville Island

Unfortunately Russell had to go back to work today. We missed spending time with him. Brandon and I slept until about 9:30 this morning then had cereal and began our cleaning and laundry spree. Let's just say that Russell's room was past due for a cleaning. At 2 PM Brandon got on a bicycle and rode 10 miles to Russell's work, which is at UBC so that he could see some of the town and get to spend some time riding home with Russell. After they got home we had leftovers for supper and then headed off to Granville Island to do some sight seeing. There is a really neat market there, but it was closing when we arrived so I didn't get to see too much of it. We saw some really cute baby geese, which was interesting. Down south we only see the adult geese and all of the poop they leave behind. ;)
My sweet tooth was in high gear, so after leaving Granville Island we made our way to Dairy Queen. I had a dipped cone and the guys had blizzards. Yum. We had a really great series of conversations this evening and we are starting to experience the effects of saying goodbye already. Even though we aren't leaving until Friday we still are dreading the goodbye aspect. I think I'll go on that note.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
